In which compartment should the vinegar be placed in a washing machine

Vinegar is a cheap and environmentally friendly alternative to fabric softener. It softens the water and your laundry, ensures that the colors are better preserved, works against limescale, kills some bacteria and removes unpleasant odors and excess soap. A real miracle cure! But where in the washing machine do you add the vinegar? You can simply use the compartment for fabric softener. You can also pour a splash of vinegar into the detergent drawer every now and then – this will also loosen the soap residues. However, you cannot replace detergent with vinegar; vinegar is not suitable for removing stains and it does not kill all bacteria.
