Buy a compact washer dryer
Now that we know what a compact washer dryer is, we would like to know what to look for when buying one:
The dimensions
Should you wish to place the washer dryer in a small space, then it is a good idea to measure the dimensions carefully. You should always leave 15 cm free at the back of the washer-dryer for the inlet and outlet hoses. This will avoid disappointment if it does not fit. Washer-dryers are mainly available in standard sizes. There are no compact models available with a flap at the top, as is the case with a separate washing machine. If you are really short of space, you can buy a washing machine with a top drawer, which takes up less space because there is no flap at the front of the machine.
Unfortunately, these models are not available for washer-dryers. However, there are models that are smaller or larger.
