The fill weight indicates how many pounds of laundry you can put in the drum per wash. This starts at about 6 kg and can go up to 12 kg. The size of a washing machine differs (largely) because of the type of washing machine; top loading or front loading. A front-loading washing machine usually has a height of 85 cm, a width of 60 and a depth between 60 and 70 cm. Top loaders have a height of 90 cm, a width of 40 cm and a depth of about 60 cm. As a result, top loaders often have a smaller fill weight.
